James L. Madigan DDS
Dr. James Madigan is the son of a general surgeon and the father of two dentists. The three generations of Madigans have made a commitment to healthcare that has spanned 80 years.
Dr. Madigan has been delivering outstanding periodontal care in Knoxville, Tennessee since 1978. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry and received his training and Certificate in Periodontology from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Madigan is also committed to upholding the integrity of dentistry as a trusted profession. He teaches implant surgery and periodontology at Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, as well as chairman of an implant study club in Knoxville.
Dr. Madigan enjoys working with patients to achieve the smile they want both functionally and esthetically. Dr. Madigan is married to Marianne, and they have two children, Michael and Courtney who are both dentists. Their daughter, Courtney, practices general dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio. Their son, Michael, is a periodontal resident at the University of Alabama and will be joining the practice shortly.
